Welcome

Welcome to the world of Oriental Medicine (OM). One of my many hats and passions in life is education. My goal with this website is to answer some basic questions about acupuncture and OM, as well as opening your world to the concept of Wholistic health care (you are a whole body after all!). If any questions come up during your stay, please do not hesitate to contact me! Enjoy!!!Â

What is Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine?

OM and acupuncture views health as a constantly changing flow of energy, or qi (pronounced chee). Energy circulates throughout the body along well defined pathways, also called meridians or channels. If there are imbalances within this natural flow of energy, it is thought to result in dis-ease or disharmony within the body and can lead to pain or illness. This happens when the qi in the meridians is either stagnant or deficient. OM and acupuncture aims to restore health by improving the flow of qi.

Our Services

I am a tour guide to your body. In believing that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, I guide you to that place by a variety of techniques. My specialty as a practitioner of OM is Japanese Style acupuncture. This is a gentle and nourishing form of acupuncture that emphasizes the root causes of disharmony in the body using extremely fine needles. It looks at all aspects of life and how it can affect the body. I see so often in my practice how emotions and stress are such a stimulating aspect of our lives and often times they get stuck in the body and manifest in amazing ways. One of the things we do in my office is discover how and where energy gets lodged and gently allow release to occur while educating on how to prevent it from happening again. I also educate people on how important preventative medicine is. We get oil changes in our cars regularly even if it is running ok. Our bodies are the same, they need tune-ups to keep everything running smoothly.

There is no greater feeling to me is when someone comes into my office without hope and walks out empowered and changed. Watching peoples bodies, minds, and spirits transform to their fullest potential is the greatest reward to me as a practitioner
